Principal Investigator of Glomed project
Dr. Satu-Maarit Korte is a university lecturer of media education and researcher at the University of Lapland.
Her key research interests are digital pedagogy, technology-mediated creative learning and embodied cognition, neural foundations of learning and memory, life stance and ethics education, Arctic and indigenous pedagogical approaches together with social learning.

Dr. Pigga Keskitalo is a university researcher at the University of Lapland, an Adjunct Professor of education and multiculturalism at the University of Helsinki, Finland and a network researcher at the Migration Institute, Turku, Finland.
Her key research interests are Sámi education and pedagogy, Indigenous research methods, pedagogy in endangered languages, digital pedagogical solutions in endangered languages, inclusiveness and diversity in education.

Dr. Mari Maasilta a university lecturer of media education at the University of Lapland and Adjunct Professor of media research at the University of Tampere, Finland.
Her research interests include media education; critical media education; media, emotions and migration; mediatization of society; role of media in society; empowerment through media; development communication.

UNESCO Chair in Regional Education Development and Lifelong Learning
Professor John Lee Chi-Kin is the Vice President (Academic) and Provost and Chair Professor of Curriculum and Instruction at The Education University of Hong Kong. Professor Lee is also the UNESCO Chair in Regional Education Development and Lifelong Learning and The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Research Fellow. His research interests focus on curriculum and instruction, geographical and environmental education, and school improvement.

Professor Kong Siu-Cheung is Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology and Director of the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology at the Education University of Hong Kong. He publishes widely in the areas of pedagogy in the digital classroom and online learning, policy on technology-transformed education and professional development of teachers, and computational thinking education. He coordinates the session topic Artificial Intelligence Literacy Workshop in this project.
Dr. William Man Yin Cheung
Co-investigator of the GloMed project
Dr. William Man Yin Cheung is an Educational Development Manager of the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC), the Education University of Hong Kong. In addition to his experience in teaching general science subjects at tertiary level in Hong Kong, he has recently been focusing on promoting artificial intelligence literacy to university students and senior secondary students, hence his session topic in this project is Artificial Intelligence Literacy Workshop.

Dr. Lau Chaak Ming is Assistant Professor at Department of Linguistics and Modern Language Studies at the Education University of Hong Kong. He works on sociolinguistic projects and develops digital humanities tools to improve language teaching of less resourceful or minority languages. His session topic in this project is Intercultural Communication in the Digital Age.

Dr. Wang Lixun is Associate Professor at Department of Linguistics and Modern Language Studies at the Education University of Hong Kong. His research interests include corpus linguistics, multilingual education, and technology-enhanced language learning and teaching. He coordinates the session topic Intercultural Communication in the Digital Age in this project.
Ms. Hilton Cheung Hei Tung

Ms. Hilton Cheung is an Executive Officer at the Office of the Vice President (Academic) and Provost as well as the UNESCO Chair Secretariat at The Education University of Hong Kong. She provides secretarial and administrative support to this project.
Project advisor
GU Mingyue Michelle is Professor and Head of Department of English Language Education, Faculty of Humanities, the Education University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include internationalization in higher education, multilingualism and mobility, family language policy, and identity and (digital) citizenship studies. She has published widely in the above fields. She is the co-editor of Critical Inquiry in Language Studies. She received the President's Award in Individual Research Excellence in 2022 at the Education University of Hong Kong, Research Excellence Award in 2017 and YoungResearcher Award in 2015 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
